In 2006, God asked Alisa to start a writing blog. She didn't understand why. Although Alisa loved writing, she had no idea how to write in the blogging world. When she first began writing, her only readers were her husband, Christina and God. After several years of writing, she finally decided that she would obediently write for God, even if she never saw a difference in people's lives.
During this "desert writing," however, Alisa became involved in her women's ministry. She created the Granola Bar Devotional Writing Ministry and fell in love with editing and encouraging women in their writing. She helped organize a larger infrastructure for her growing women's ministry and learned as much as she could about administrative ministry work. Alisa was confused when God moved her out of administration until she took a One on One with God study and found her passion: discipleship!During this same time, Christina also became involved in the women's ministry and served in ministry outreach. She enjoyed working with the women at her church as they served their community until God moved her and her family to another city. Since Christina lost all of her support group and ministry, she started playing with blog designs and slowly taught herself how to design blogs. She began helping online ministries with their blog designs, so they could more effectively reach the world for Christ.
Christina's passion to encourage women was constant, but she didn't know where she could serve. She wanted to use her knowledge as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to make a difference in women's lives. She began making her way through Christian counseling curriculum, equipping herself with God's Word and resources that she could share with women struggling with life difficulties. Though she hadn't yet realized it, God was about to open the ministry doors wide open.
Christina decided to help Alisa with her writing blog, and when they combined their efforts, a miracle happened: their ministry increased! Together they were able to serve even more women for Christ! Their efforts grew beyond Faith Imagined, so they sought God for the next step. Through much prayer and preparation, they took a big leap of faith and created the Sanctified Together Compassion and Discipleship Resource!Alisa and Christina are thrilled to serve others for God's kingdom and eager to see how God uses them to fulfill His divine plan. They do not profess to be perfect, but they do desire to be obedient to God's will and to be used for God's purpose. They hope that you will join them with their efforts and help begin the sanctification movement!
